A kickback against the expectation that we can, and should, be be brilliant at everything. I look at nepotism, the cult of perfectionism and the psychology of overwork, asking: why are we doing this and who is it really for?

London outdoors: green spaces and escapes in and around the capital

Fed of being expected to have a car just to get outside, I started walking my city: and found I could kayak, paddleboard and mountain bike there too

London’s museums and galleries: exploring the best of the city’s art and culture

My favourite thing to do in the whole world is to go to art galleries and museums because I love that even as an adult, there’s a space to learn and question commonly-held beliefs and assumptions. My favourite? The Wellcome Collection, where you can see the change in public health perception over time.

Theatre, fiction, future projects

I write plays, several of which have been performed across London’s fringe theatres, and have had shorts performed across London in theatres from The Arcola to Southwark Playhouse. I also co-produced a new writing night at Southwark Playhouse which focused on current affairs and socio-political theatre. Participants have gone on to write for the West End and win Offies. A sitcom I wrote about the gym (based on real-life, terrifying experiences) was long-listed for the 2018 Funny Women award, and I’m currently reworking it into a bitesize YouTube series.
